Sailing lessons in Amsterdam:
Watersportcentre Sloterplas is the place in Amsterdam to learn how to sail! Less than a fifteen-minute bike ride from the city center, you can sail on the beautiful Sloterplas.
For adults we provide sailing lessons in the Valk or Laser Vago. Children aged between 8 and 12 can take sailing lessons in the Optimist or Laser Pico.
It is also possible to book a private lesson in the Valk, Laser Vago or windsurfing!
Sailing course Valk (18+)
For adults we have a sailing course in the Valk. The Valk is a tour sailboat, and because of the weight of the heavy keel it provides stability and a steady course. The sheltered cockpit has plenty of room for the crew. The Valk is clearly more oriented towards comfort rather than speed. Ideal boats to experience wanderings. These boats can be rented almost everywhere in the Netherlands where sailing is possible.
Sailing course Laser Vago (18+)
The Laser Vago is the fastest boat in our fleet! Instead of a heavy keel, it has a light daggerboard, making the boat ideal for racing. You can reach intense speeds with these lightweight boats. That also means you have to keep your balance, so take these sailing lessons if you are not afraid to get wet!
Private lesson
If you want to have more flexibility in planning your lessons, book a private lesson! From beginners to experts, we always make a lesson tailored to your needs. You can book a private lesson in the Valk, Laser Vago or Pico. If you’re not afraid to get wet, you can book a windsurfing lesson!

Are you between 8 and 16 years old and would you like to learn how to sail during the summer holidays? Then join our Splashweeks! Here you will learn the basics of sailing in a fun way. During the summer holidays, it’s all about having lots of fun on the water, but it’s also a fantastic sailing holiday for both beginners and experienced sailors!
