General questions

What are your opening hours?

During the season (May-September) we’re open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 12.00 to 18.00 hrs. We’re often there earlier or later for our activities.

Out of the season we’re often there for sailing lessons or maintenance, so do contact us if you want to drop by!

Our terrain is accessible for wheelchairs, and most of our facilities as well. There is also an accessible toilet at our neighbours, Boothuis.

We have a large parking lot in front of our door, where it’s paid parking from Monday to Saturday, from 09.00 to 19.00 hrs. You can also come by public transport!

Train / metro 50 + 51: Station Amsterdam Lelylaan

Tram 1 + 17: Stop Johan Huizingalaan, or stop Meer en Vaart

Bus 63: Stop Hemsterhuisstraat

Of course, the more the merrier! Please do put your pets on a leash. If you want to bring your dog on board, please contact us first.

Rental

What is useful to bring?

We recommend that you bring a towel, sunscreen and extra dry clothes, because you may get wet on the water! Rent a locker to keep your belongings safe.

You can change in or next to the toilet. Unfortunately, it is not possible to use the changing rooms, as we often have groups (with children) using them.

We do not take reservations, so feel free to drop by to rent a boat!

Pets are allowed on our premises, provided they are kept on a leash. Small pets are allowed on the boats, but please ensure that the boat is left clean and tidy.

You must be at least 18 years old to rent a boat independently. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parents, including on the water.

To hire a boat from us, you must have at least a Dutch swimming certificate ‘A’, or similar.

Life jackets are compulsory for everyone and are always included in the rental price. We have sizes for adults and children.

No sailing licence is required to hire canoes, SUPs and pedal boats. For the Valk, you must have sufficient experience sailing this type of sailing boat.

When renting a vessel, you sign a contract in which you are responsible for any damage, including damage to third parties. Please also take a look at our terms and conditions.

Sailing lessons

How can I register for the sailing lessons course?

You can register via our website, on the sailing lessons page! Here you will find all the types of boats we offer sailing lessons in, and you can choose the one that suits you best!

To book a private lesson, please visit our private sailing lessons page. Here you will find all the options available and can request a private lesson.

With private sailing lessons, you receive individual attention from an experienced instructor at a time that suits you. Because the lesson is tailored entirely to you, the instructor can practise exactly what you need. You can also bring your partner or friends along.

During a sailing course, you will receive group lessons on the same day and at the same time each week. During our course, we work with our TopSail diploma system, which allows us to focus on your individual learning curve.

Our lessons always continue, whether we go out on the water or have a theory lesson! So be sure to bring raingear and warm, dry clothing.

Always bring dry clothes. Also, check the weather forecast carefully. Bring raingear in case of bad weather. In good weather, it is a good idea to wear a cap, apply sunscreen and bring a bottle of water. We will provide you with a life jacket!
For the Pico, Vago and windsurfing lessons, we will provide you with a wetsuit, but please bring swimming trunks or shorts to wear over the wetsuit.

It is mandatory to have at least Dutch swimming certificate ‘A’ or similar.

Splashweek summer camp

How do I register for the Splashweek summer camp?

You can register via our website, on our Splashweek summer camp page! Here you will find all the summer camp options, and you can choose the one that best suits your child!

Splash Week runs for five days from 10.00 to 16.00. If you come for the whole day, lunch is included. For children up to 12 years old, we also have a Splashweek during the May holidays. Check out our Splashweek summer camp page for more information!

Yes! It is mandatory to have at least Dutch swimming certificate ‘A’ or similar.

Our Splashweeks always continue, whether we go out on the water or have a theory lesson! So be sure to bring raingear and warm, dry clothing.

We recommend wearing clothing (and shoes) that can get wet. Always bring extra dry clothing, and when it rains, bring raingear! Extra layers are always useful. A bottle of water is also mandatory, because having fun on the water is hard work!

We will provide the children with life jackets (and wetsuits when necessary)!

Company outing

Do all participants need to have a swimming certificate?

It is mandatory to have at least Dutch swimming certificate ‘A’ or similar.

We have lockers where you can safely store your belongings. We also have changing rooms where you can get changed.

Certainly! We have several options, from active drinks to a barbecue or a buffet. Check our company outing page for more information!

This depends on the activity booked and is always agreed upon in consultation with each other. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more information.

Our premises are wheelchair accessible, as are most of our facilities. Our neighbours, the Boothuis restaurant, have a wheelchair-accessible toilet.

No problem! We have experienced instructors who can guide you, and there is no better time to gain experience in water sports!
